Chapter art for Chapter 6 of my fic, Dying Storms and Saccharine Sunsets. New style!
H presents…
My completed reference for Five Pebbles in the AU of my fic, Dying Storms and Saccharine Sunsets!
I have spent literal months on this, but its finally here! This is just a little treat (not the main chapter art) for the next chapter, Chapter 6, for those that are already on Tumblr. It will be posted with the next chapter but will not be the main piece in it.
This is 1/2. There will be an anatomy guide for the character following soon, so look out for that!
This reference should make it a bit easier on not only you guys to imagine, but also me. With how many times I’ve had to draw him to get this completed (around 40 sketches and concept pieces) I feel like I could draw him in my sleep, which should make art a bit faster to do now, haha.
Design details (may contain plot hints):
His cloak were ripped by rot and literally started crumbling away from it. Early Rivulet is when rot first touched the puppet.
Fiddles with his scarf as such, which is why it's much more worn down, and it keeps him busy. Sleeves are also so long as a result, and he fiddles with them too (Is why the ruffles on sleeves are gone now.)
So many nervous habits you could write a book on them.

Hey y’all.
Stressed as all hells, but I’m here. This is not an update for a new chapter because I still need to do the art for it, but as a lil bit of a gift to tide y’all over, I present: Unparalleled Innocence and Five Pebbles, in DS3 AU human form. Experimented a bit with style and brushes, but not too much. Just having fun, y’know? (Also, as a little hint to whats coming up and a treat, I’ve almost finished reference sheets for all of the iterators that will appear in DS3!)
Thank you all for your support. I hope I can update again soon, but for now, enjoy. See ya soon.
Chapter art for Chapter 9, of my fic. It's meant to look like waves, but I don't like it much. Oh well.
So when going back through, I learned that actually, some layers had been shuffled and he’d been missing his details! So here’s a tiny lasso tool Pebbles, with his pretty symbols
Completed reference for Five Pebbles in the AU of my fic, Dying Storms and Saccharine Sunsets! Part 2/2, the anatomy! I have a NSH sketch but not digital mockup done, so you also might want to look forward to that… It won’t come out before the next chapter, but it’s in the works.
Extra details of this design (treat, may contain plot hints):
Has 5 wires tied up in a bow connecting to upper port for fancy occasions (and to get him to stop tugging on them, how NSH remembers him) but unraveled due to his stress and pulling on them during Monk time. NSH redid the style for him on their way out for convenience, and he's kept it ever since.
Doll-like, on purpose. Not strong.
Sunset themes, and bright colors. Butterfly inspiration.
Butterflies symbolize souls of the deceased returning in some cultures. Citizens imagine him as someone who will bring them safety and he represents souls already in peace in Void Sea calling out to counterparts on earth. They want him to guide them to their eternal peace as a herald of it and someone who had tasted it himself. (void fluid workings helping upkeep iterators)
Stains on arms from rot, not easy to wash away. Simply from his handling of it, even when dealing with it just in his own systems, before it ever reached his chamber.

DSaSS Chapter 3 2/2.
The final scene, with a few creative liberties taken.
DSaSS Chapter 3.
Tumblr nerfed the quality really badly. Oh well.
