Did dsdh jay actually have any love/affection for y/n or was she purely a means to an end 😭

good question! 😭 YES, he actually did have genuine affection for yn! But it was a very twisted, alien version of love. He wasn't lying during his monologue when he said yn was the only human on the ship who made him feel warmth. He genuinely found yn mind fascinating and her resilience beautiful. While the rest of the crew was just cargo space or food to him, he viewed yn as a prized possession and a true companion.

He literally planned to spare her, make her his queen on Earth, and even considered letting Ni-ki live just so she wouldn't be heartbrokenSo his feelings were very real, but they were deeply possessive, toxic, and predatory. Yn was definitely way more than just a means to an end to him. But he would not hesitate to take her out if she tries to stop him🫣

dude dsdh was so good, i kept tearing up and crying in the last part it was so embarrassing 😭 genuinely devastating, i am so upset about niki :(

i do have a question though, when did jay become the alien? when you say from the beginning do you mean the like the VERY beginning of the voyage like when they left earth or did he get bodyswapped after the dimensional jump? if it was from the beginning how did he get to earth to get on the ship?

Omg please I was literally tearing up while writing Ni-ki's part too! 😭💔 He deserved so much better, but he had to be offed😭. To answer your question: Jay was NEVER on Earth! He was on the ship from the VERY beginning of the voyage.

Because there were like 4,000 crew members and everyone was completely new to each other, nobody realized he wasn't supposed to be there. He just appeared, and since everyone was still meeting for the first time, they just assumed he was a normal guy part of the Earth program! They all just accepted him as one of the team members. But if anyone had actually dug into the ship's system before Kira did, they would have seen that his files were never actually there. He was the monster the entire time! 👽

Reading DSDH is genuinely shaking my core, like i had to pause a few times because it giving my own BODY a reactions like i feel terror and fear alongside curiosity like im having genuine reactions from reading, just wondering whats gonna happen next because you'll never know right? i felt fear like REAL fear when you mentioned niki wasn't in the dock with everyone else during the code yellow. Every little detail and scene has me hooked and it feels as though my own consciousness was sucked into this and im reading my own memories, this is how you know your writing is really making a big impact and is AMAZING i have never in my life felt like this while being on the reader side of fics, and i really love moving with the timeline of stories just seeing what occurs. im glazing so much right now but this is genuine love coming from me about how much this is affecting my emotions and i have no idea how to express them any better than this and i love it, KEEP THIS UPPPP its so good and i really mean it 🥹💕

Holy Plottwist, I just read the first two chapters of DSDH. I actually wanted to wait till chapter 3 is also out to read it in one go but I couldn’t wait 😩 I know your writing is top tier and that I’m gonna love it just like all of your other masterpieces. I don’t think any other author made me have this emotional reactions, but I literally feel everything you describe when I’m reading your work like it is actually happening to me, like how tf do you do that?!
