[DSDN104] FINAL EVALUATION
For my final project I decided to concentrate on the grip of a gaming controller. I have always been interested in how developers of video game console are able to suit their many target audiences for the conformability of the gaming controller. I was intrigued to how any hand could wrap snug into the grasp on any person’s hand – no matter how big or small, male or female, adult or child was holding the controller. I was also interested in the way that different people could wrap their hands around the controller in different ways – to give more options to different users.
In comparison to the past models I’ve made, this model in particular is the only organic one I have explored. I added a lot of soft curves and sharp curves from the inspiration of a motorcycle to give it a sleeker look. I also started to implement a curve within my whole piece which helped implement the idea of how your hand I suppose to wrap around the object.
Overall, I found this project, stimulating and challenged me to look for other opportunities. I hope I will be able to continue using these techniques for practises in the future.
