Their blanket was spread out on the grass and the movie was about halfway through. But, Mia wasn’t exactly paying attention to the movie it was background noise at this point as she took another drink from the thermos she had that was filled with apple cider and brandy (which is a win for fall). Jonah was asleep with his head on Kat’s lap and she couldn’t help the smile that appeared when she noticed how cute the little guy looked. “I guess it’s a good thing he’s a heavy sleeper. Makes it so we don’t have to hide drinking.” She giggled, feeling the effects of the brandy and other drinks she had been having. Mia wasn’t working the next day so she was going to cut loose and enjoy the night with Kat while they drank. “Okay, okay, so, as I was saying. He came out of the bathroom and sat down at the table and looked at our bill. Then he handed it to me and told me that he forgot his wallet. Most of the bill was his since he had to get top shelf scotch and the filet mignon.” She laughed throwing back another drink. “So, I got up from the table and told the waitress that my date was going to pay for it and I ubered home. I wonder if he actually paid the bill or not.” She laughed, wiping away small tears that were forming at the memory of such a bad date.
