Early 2022 retroconsole purchases ~

I got these consoles around March and April. I was not able to take a video of them since I am busy around those times so I am taking this opportunity to do so before I got too busy again. I would have played a game or so on it but I am feeling lazy and I have yet to make a better set-up (phone stand is not stable).

I only have a few games on my PSP since I am not that interested with the games released for the PSP, NOT unless I know how to read Japanese (there's a ton of Otome I'd like to play but I couldn't since I won't understand Japanese).

I have a lot of games on my DSi XL, since I added some Nintendo exclusives on it (I love cute games). I also added Animal Crossing Wild World on it, as expected since I love New Horizons. But that's not the reason I wanted a DS. I bought this so I can play Vampire Knight on it, I am not a fan of emulators and I am not fond of playing it on my 3DS (the black grid/background bothers me). I am also happy to see some visual novels with english patches like Tokimeki, Prince of Tennis, Black Butler, etc.

Hell yeah boi! This was the best day of year but it's a little sad that I didn't manage to get that many pictures because I was carring so much stuff so it was kinda hard to grab my phone since I had to put everything down...

But anyway.. I'm gonna show the pictures that I got though.

Just look at all those games.. it's fucking heaven!

And yeah, I found Wario and Waluigi

They were so fucking cool so I just had to take a picture of them and I like that they even did a pose too.

Also, the first thing I did when I saw them was walking up to Waluigi and say: Now you gotta give me a "WAAAAAAA"

And he actually did and that made my day.

Me and my big bro got a picture with Gaminggrannar which was one of my favourite parts of the convention since me and my family watches their videos time to time and it was nice talking about videos games with them too.

Both me and my big bro bought a mugg from them which I will show soon.

I was gonna participate in the Tetris tournament but then it turned out to be on sunday (today) so I wasn't able to which is too bad because I really wanted to beat Dave and maybe win the tournament since a teacher and a school assistant promised me pizza.

Haha, Gaminggrannar wanted us to take another picture when we all do a random pose and I love it! We all look so gorgeous~

Here are some of the stuff that I bought there and I'm really glad that I managed to find two puyo games.

Of course I had to get a shirt.

I recently got my first DSi (a nice green DSi LL from Japan), and I gotta say it's pretty great. There were some biiiiiiig missed opportunities with the original release, such as Miis or Virtual Consoles like the Wii had (especially with the removal of the GBA slot...), but over all it's a great console! Nice crisp DS graphics, DSiWare, and all the homebrew capabilities! Lots of fun stuff :3

Metallic Rose DSi XL Update:

I was finally able to find one available locally for 72usd (3599php) BUT in a not-so-good condition since it has dents and scratches. I have yet to see the screen's condition since the seller have yet to update me (if he would ever do that). That's the thing with some sellers, they aren't honest with the unit's issue and I've been a victim of that since my PS Vita. All the consoles, I have gotten so far have noticeable scratches and if not ... warped plastics. Nevermind that though since I decided to keep them rather than trying to find a pristine one (I'll do that if I'm ... rich, I am definitely NOT but I always end-up overpaying).

Look at that .... if only I could repaint it or restore it but where would I find that color?

DSi LL + TV tuner package, given to earthquake victims in Japan. Nintendo sent out products to people living in the evacuation centers, but didn't make any efforts to publicize these charitable gestures, as detailed in a statement given by CEO Satoru Iwata at the last shareholders meeting (and then not printed in the transcript!). Were it not for one of the recipients posting these images at Hachimaki, we'd never know what Nintendo's donated systems comprised, or even what they looked like!

In addition to entertainment, these sets allow families to receive over-the-air TV broadcasts, and therefore keep up with news. Eric pointed out one other potential benefit -- being, essentially, extremely limited-edition bundles with exclusive packaging, these sets are inevitably going to make some people a lot of money on online auctions.
