I just liked what @aq2003 said so much I wanted to be able to stick it on my blog :3
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, And then is heard no more. It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing.

New boy new boy! He’s a pickpocket who relies on his twin brother maybe a bit too much to get by. He lives with the guilt that he’s holding his brother back, but fights it off with a veneer of cockiness and humor (bad jokes).
I don’t know how I feel about Macbeth and Lady Macbeth looking at and speaking directly into camera in the recorded performance during their monologues….
Like in the theatre they very well may look you right in the face, right in the eyes and speak to you, but they’re also more often, not, and doing so into space from your vantage point
Idk something about the frequency of the Absolute Directness coupled with the zoomed in vantage of some of the recorded camera angles is kind of… jarring when I see these previews
I hope it feels more natural when watching the cinema release in whole, because I’m really looking forward to it!
anyone else feeling this?
Macbeth cinema/Donmar recording thoughts (Harold Pinter as my reference). Would love your help with remembering some things
*Spoilers* for the productions if you haven’t seen any version of this one yet and are planning to
Seeing Macbeth in the cinemas with my two friends and they really enjoyed it but they don’t have the obsessive type of brains that I do so I’m mentally gnawing my arm wanting to talk about it specifically the depiction of the Macbeths’ relationship
Why is I the minute you go looking for a post, you can’t find it?
I used to see this post in the tag all the time, and now I ant find it for the life of me
If anyone can direct me to that one post where OP posted recordings of the music in the DT Macbeth production—there’s something in the post about them trying to remove the dialogue—I would love you forever 🙏
(And I know someone posted rips from the vinyl—I’m not looking for that, I’m looking for the bits of dialogue they might not be been able to remove so I can use them to place the music in the scene and annotate my script book)
Anyone here experience Donmar/David Tennant Macbeth in the front row of the cinema? If so how was that experience?
My ma agreed to come with me to go see it on Sunday on my offer to drive (4 hours… yes I’m a bit insane), and the showing that would let me wake up 1 1/2 later only has front row available, otherwise I’d have to get up at like 6 😖
