There’s a reason I posted that Animation Hustle video yesterday. Not only did a ton of animation YouTube channels suddenly get demonetized in one month, but Dtoons Productions did as well! In fact, Alex found this out the same day Adobe announced they would end support for Animate in March, something they backed out on a day later. Channels of all sorts have been hit, such as tutorials, review shows, essays, and news, showing that they’re likely using AI to determine which ones get hit instead of human logical reasoning!
That basketball video uploaded yesterday?? The one that announced the return of Dtoons videos after a few months off??? Yeah!! That’s not getting any money!!!
So great. Now we can’t know for sure if YouTube will reinstate this channel until NINETY DAYS AFTER ALEX’S LAST CLAIM, and even then they can reject it! Adsense is the chief way Dtoons makes money, so this is a real problem. YouTube says “a human looked at the claim” in their reply email, but clearly they didn’t because the channel still goes by the rules of the channel being for adults as well as people of all ages. Dtoons is set as “not made for kids” yet YouTube constantly attacks these places anyway! YouTube and all tech companies need to improve the way they monitor content! Please spread the word about the Dtoons store, Patreon, and other places online and make it clear to people that they're in trouble, and please please write to the tech companies and world governments that they are pushing legal American citizens out of their liveihoods! Raise hell! Be loud! It’s been shown that YouTube will reinstate monetization after enough loud backlash about a particular channel! I am almost at my wit’s end!
