You, the living is a movie told through a series of vaguely connected vignettes, and is mostly the story of a city or society rather than any one person. 

I haven’t laughed this much at a movie in awhile. I think people often forget that dark humor needs a corresponding feeling of joy to really deliver. So, while there are plenty of depressing and darkly funny scenes, there’s also a sequence that is so moving i don’t think I’ll forget it for awhile!

I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants to watch something w a very distinct style, and anyone who wants to laugh. Probably better to watch in a group though, rather then silently in your room. It’s better that way.
