Partially because I like to come up with new ideas instead of being productive and doing my classwork and partially because I get inspired by everything, I now have a decent number (please don’t ask how many) of AH AU ideas...
So, I’d like to introduce something I like to call my Coins/Duality AU. I came up with this idea when I was watching a Team Love & Stuff compilation and they’re having the weird body-swapping debate and Ryan says “My body might have gotten up to a lot of things without me knowing about it”.
It’s a fahc au with a pinch of supernatural elements, and, by a pinch, I mean there’s supernatural creatures like demons and stuff, but they’re mostly thought to be legends and stuff. Basically, Ryan ran into some trouble with the law or something (haven’t figured out exactly what happened yet) and, because he’s extra and knows about demons and stuff since his family’s involved with the supernatural (and has been for generations), he summons a demon to fix whatever happened and, as part of the deal (because, “Oh no, I’m sure we can work something out where you don’t need to give your soul”) the demon possesses Ryan, but only has full control when the sun is down. So, to get away from the mess of a life he’s made (as well as to help mitigate how long the demon’s able to do stuff because southern west coast gets a lot of daylight), he moves to Los Santos and works as an IT guy and just makes sure that he gets home before dark. Of course, because it’s never that simple, the demon gets bored and takes advantage of the crime to make more deals and cause general mischief and stuff at night, making sure to get the body back to bed before dawn. Eventually, the demon gets caught up in some kind of legit criminal activity and they get hired by some gang as a hitman and it just spirals from there and pretty soon there’s this mercenary called The Vagabond running around in the dark and Ryan’s pretty sure of what’s going on especially with the random wounds and bruises that definitely weren’t there when he gave up control, but he continues to just live his life.
