Alumina groggily woke up, the stinging ache in her back getting worse as she regained consciousness. She could hear muffled voices in the background, her eyes flickering open and her glow brightening as she began to realize where she was. Panic set in when her mind processed that she had been captured, and captured by HYDRA no less. Her eyes flickered to the spot where her tracker normally was, her fear only getting worse when she saw a large bandage covering the skin where her tracker should’ve been.
“Don’t even bother.” A voice rang out and she looked forward, realizing there were people on the other side of a large bulletproof glass wall. The man who was speaking was someone she recognized, making her feel even more sick, “You’re going to be here for a while.”
“Rumlow. How the fuck are you alive?!” She snarled, tensing up as she realized her arms and legs were bound to this wall and there was a searing pain in her lower spine. Brock didn’t respond, instead he just flipped a switch, causing Alumina’s energy to surge and the pain in her back becoming almost unbearable. She screamed in agony, seizing against her bonds when she put two and two together, figuring out they were using her like a human battery to power their facilities. And judging by the glowing weapon one man held in his hands, they were also using her powers to create weapons. She sighed heavily in defeat, feeling trapped and worthless since she couldn’t think straight enough to use her powers. She just prayed Tony and the gang could get there fast.
Meanwhile on the other side of town, Peter Parker watched Tony pace back and forth nervously, trying to figure out how to save Alumina. Peter currently was the only one level headed enough to think of the obvious. He whipped out his phone and quickly shot Wade a text.
“[Text: Wade] Hey Dude, if you didn’t know already, HYDRA’s got your girl. They kidnapped Alumina last night when the Avengers were out and she was home alone. You may wanna get here, like now, and help us out.”
