I’m currently writing a five way conversation in my novel (sic) and all the colloquial Dublin English is sending Google Docs batshit!
I’m still leaving it in, but I may have someone non-Irish to go over it after the redrafting, to see if it’s too distracting. No good getting the dialect correct if nobody can follow it. I don’t think I could cut it all out - it’s an urban fantasy, after all, a sense of place is important - but maybe tone it down?
I don’t know. That’s tomorrow’s problem, I guess.
