So, I was looking at a few of my Klaroline WIPs, thinking of maybe taking a crack at finishing one, but then I started reading Uncharted Crown and realised that, while I still enjoy the premise, it reads as too light and frothy. That makes sense because I started writing it when I was finishing Battle Lines, so I wanted it to be light and kinda silly, but now I'm thinking it needs a rewrite.

So this is my way of saying I've started a rewrite of the first few chapters. The plot basically stays the same, but I think I'm going to take a few detours along the way!

Yup, you read that right, I'm trying to knit away my anxiety about the shitty world we're living in at the moment and I'm still waiting for the cotton yarn for my next project to arrive - I'm going to be knitting the above pattern, Nostie by Rebecca Clow and I was mindlessly scrolling through ravelry to find a pattern for my project after that.

That is where I found Audrey Borrego's pattern page. She's recently stepped back from professional pattern making and, instead of taking down her patterns, she just made them all free.

SO MANY PRETTY PATTERNS. I CAN'T CHOOSE.

I need help picking what I should knit after the Nostie (I need to pick well in advance because I probably will have to import the yarn.)

To those of you who are wondering who the heck wears knitwear in the summer. I live in IRELAND, the land of the eternally rainy summer. (I was actually hailed on today, on my commute home - that's right, HAIL.)

TBH honest, I love all these patterns and I'll probably attempt them all at some point. I just need to pick one to do first!

Choice one - the Oleander pattern. It has long sleeves and is lacy. I would consider myself an ambitious beginner. I've made myself a couple of vests and a slipover with color work. Lacework would be challenging for me - but it's sooooo pretty.

Another lacework jumper. Do you sense a pattern (oh look, a knitting pun!) She also has a ton of winter jumpers/cardigans in heavier yarns and with lovely colour work. - in other words, I may do a winter edition of this poll in a few months!

The link image shows the long sleeved version but there is also a lovely short sleeved version, with lacework on the sleeves , which is the version I'd knit. Image below.

And your friend ended up making out with a girl he’d just met there while you were stuck talking to her sister who was less cute and then her mother appeared and started trying to matchmake and started saying how if she was twenty years younger she’d clime you like a redwood and ooooh is that a black Amex, guess the next round is on you hahhahahahaha, while her other sister (how many fucking sisters does she have?!) flashed an obviously fake ID at the bar and ordered six vodka-diet red bulls and no one in her family except the less-cute sister even tried to stop her. And you went home and consoled yourself that you would never see any of these people again but then you met them over and over again because they live next door and your friend and the cute sister keep meeting up to make out but not actually date and then.
