Took a picture of our new shirts. The Be Here Now carving is on #redbubble on a white shirt. Our tie-dye artist, the wonderful Kristi BigSmiles took it and dyed around the picture! New card wall! Coop built me 2 half size flats and I found the louvre shutter at the ReStore Store to use as a door. I’ve been whining for years about having to move a 4 ft flat to get in and out. Added bonus, more space inside for back stock! Unfortunately I don’t think it will work in a 10x10 space, but it is glorious here! I finally got a long shot of the booth! Normally I don’t get finished until after we open and there are too many people getting in my way to get good shots. Highlights from the 2017 Dublin Irish Festival - Part 2 of 2

Part of the Summer of TSR (Transit System Review) experience is exploring the new COTA routes.  The other part is to explore places and events that I would not have considered going to this time last year.   Case in point: The Dublin Irish Festival.

This month marks the 30th Anniversary that the Village of Dublin, Ohio became the City of Dublin, Ohio.  In 1988, the first Dublin Irish Festival was held.  It has been one of the premier cultural festivals in Central Ohio in its three decades.  For one weekend, the first weekend of August, Coffman Park in Dublin is shut down to the public, and gated off for the festival.  There are stages with live music and performances, plus tents promoting Irish culture and heritage.

Historic Bridge Street in Downtown Dublin was decked out for the festival with banners promoting the weekend event, and shops welcoming guests into town.  By this time next year, with the Bridge Park Development on the other side of the Scioto River, Dublin will be a boomtown, just like with the first Dublin Irish Festival.
