my big problem with the fandom is the same one ive seen in many others. just. the sheer amount of internalized misogyny. cishet women projecting onto the "bottom" of the popular m/m ship and basically writing him as if he literally is them (because the female characters could never be interesting or autonomous enough to ever be relatable, right?)
and then theres this weird disgust and hatred toward the woman that character canonically loves because she would stand in the way of their yaoi. im just tired of how many times they write her just like an abusive, sexist man to justify their hatred of her. usually shes portrayed as physically threatening, violent, verbally abusive, and almost 80% of the time they give her a dick to show how "evil" she is. like thats not transmisogynistic af
anyway, sorry for venting in the inbox ive just seen this exact protrayal of lilith hundreds of times. i dont think it would take away from her relationship to charlie whether shed given birth to her herself or not, she could still be a very devoted mother. but i do hate that its used the way it is so often
Honestly, the way the fandom threatens its female characters is sickening. Almost everyone gets pushed aside in the the favor of male characters and or m/m ships. Or often infantilized and villainized.
Not even Charlie the main character is safe from it,she gets reduced to being only Lucifer's cute and naive daughter, despite him barely appearing in the actual show you could mean he the main protagonist together with Alastor with how the fandoms favors them
You also say with how the fandoms often fetishized gay ships by making the bottom one the submissive and feminine one which is not only misogynistic but also reinforced the stereotype that there has to be a man and woman in a sapphic/gay relationship.
Lilith also fails victim to the evil wife who comes between him and his actual "love" who often is a man like Adam or Alastor. Nothing we know of her right now makes it seem like she was either physically or emotionally abusive like Stella
In the opposite even, Charlie only speaks in high tones of her and believes she would be proud if she saw what her daughter is doing. The pictures we see of the Morningstar family it look like she adored both her husband and daughter and shows how happy they all look together
I'm not completely sure if Viv actually says it but i believe she mentioned ones that Lucifer and Lilith resemble Gomez and Morticia Addams who are like the most loving couple in All of media ,in many versions Morticia is bigger than her husband which also fits with Lucilith
I also noticed how many people write Lilith as a bad mother who doesn't support Charlie's dreams and ambition which is wrong as we were told from Charlie directly that Liliths dreams were passed down to her.
The parent who didn't support her and believes that was she is doing is useless was Lucifer! He maybe changed his mind but that doesn't mean he supported her at the beginning and if Lucifer is allowed to be a flawed father who makes mistakes then so should Lilith be allowed to flawed too
I never thought about it that way but yes it's definitely a decision to make the abuser a woman with a dick while making the man with a pussy the victim... Especially when i saw many people writing Lilith' SA Lucifer which resulted in Charlie to be born

Also interesting how many people make it look like when Lucifer was the one pregnant that Lilith and Charlie weren't close as if a woman can't be close with a child she didn't personally carried. Also Charlie seemed to be closer to Lilith to me anyway, she rather called her mother she didn't saw for 7 years in the pilot then her father for support. Charlie for me is Mommy's girl
