Thursday’s child has far to go. Spoilers for 5.04, ‘The End’. So I got to wondering: what would have happened if past!Dean hadn’t turned up in 2014, and future!Dean had actually succeeded in killing Lucifer with the Colt? Apparently, it involves lots of angsting. Who knew?
This is set in 2014 during the ‘the end’ and it is sooo good! all the feels and the angst and just...i love it!

Due Cause
This wasn't right. Things like this didn't happen to people. First days were full of training documents and get-to-know-you chats and friendly talks with pleasant secretaries, not super-lawyers in disguise with molesting eye contact assaulting you in elevators. This really really wasn't how this was supposed to go... Maybe it wasn't how it was going. Maybe none of it was really happening to him and in a few minutes they would leave the room and all of this would go away and he'd have his normal, average first day exactly the way he'd wanted it."
Sam gets his first job at the law firm of his dreams, which just happens to be the workplace of his law-school idol, who in real life is a good deal more cynical and a great deal more creepy than he might have imagined. Also: Cas runs a snack cart. Also: Dean helps.

Convinced by Dean to do him a favor, Sam finds himself filling in for his first few days on the job as a new roadie with Misplaced Grace. But by the time Dean shows up to take his place, Sam's smashing straight into a big fat sexuality crisis in the form of the band's lead guitarist, and isn't quite sure he wants to spend the summer knee deep in law books after all. Meanwhile, Dean's determined to have the best summer ever and do a job he's actually good at, with his favorite band. Particularly one favorite bassist. That is, if he can manage deal with the ten year crush he's been toting around with him first.
Housebreaking Angels
When the boys happen upon a powerless Lucifer with no explanation, what are the hunters and their rebellious angel to do? Lucifer may be powerless but he's still Lucifer. And that's only a boatload of trouble. Right?AU as of about midway through "Abandon All Hope..." with an aim to give everyone the (eventual) happy ending they deserve.

Aw yeah, so basically I watched a lot of lawyer shows (Boston Legal especially) and then read BAR Exam flashcards :)
One thing I've noticed about Due Cause is that over the chapters, Nick's teasing of Sam slowly lessens until the point he asks Sam to join him. When Sam says yes, it's like that rush of seriousness and flirtatious taunting mix together, and I've always wondered what was going through Nick's mind when Sam finally did say yes. Would you ever consider writing a small piece on it if you had the time or wanted to? I love what you already have written, but I was just curious. Thanks anyways!

Oh HI!! Thanks! I love Due Cause. It's what made me ship Samifer. It was one of those "Came for the Destiel, ended up with a new OTP" deals. XD I was of the impression that moonlight-petal was recording the podfic of "Misplaced Grace", actually. "Due Cause" is one of those rare fics that if I could buy it at the store and give it a permanent spot on my bookshelves, I WOULD.Lol well if the author is giving the go ahead, I guess I should give it a go. Let's hope I can do it justice. ^_^
Do you ever want to podfic something so badly, but can't because there's already a podfic version?
Sometimes, I podfic anyway, if it's relatively short, but this one would be about 12 hrs, and I *REALLY* want to... but to do so would seem redundant because it's already podficced. :(
Just reread "Due Cause" and realized that Sam is Nick/Lucifer's first love. And now I'm mentally squealing and screaming and my heart is about to burst from the fuzzy feels.
