OKAY SO. Both Pino and Duglas call the game's Present "the future." Meralda (in the Past) recognized the description of Duglas as well (a miner who once split a mountain), and the apples are still called Castele Apples in the Past. That last one I am willing to write off, but the others...
THEREFORE. Is the game's Present 1000 years after the first game (the Past being only a while after the first), or are our NPCs getting dragged 1000 years into the past by whatever this crow thing is to hide them?
OR third option: we are in an alternate timeline wherein Celestia never died and it's HER speaking to us through the Goddess Statue, not Yuelia like I think it is, and Lunares never began to separate from Reveria, rendering our reference point moot.
