i loved the ending of red sleeve cuff. the writers did an amazing job of capturing the fact that deok im isn’t defined by her feelings for yisan… her happiness of being able to (secretly) love him as a concubine was contrasted beautifully by the sadness of losing her identity and role as a court maid. the last episode was so raw, and the contrasts back to the lighthearted earlier episodes through yisan’s memories was honestly painful
love doesn’t make a life perfect, and i feel like the real deok im (along with many other women throughout history who have caught the eye of a man in power) could have had a very similar emotional experience
