I love that gus can be goofy and funny just like shawn. usually the dynamic is Goofy Dude Who Gets by With Charm and Serious Guy Who Has Life in Order, and gus does have his life in order in a way shawn doesn't. yeah shawn ropes him into a bunch of shenanigans and gus will try to be a voice of reason, but gus has also roped shawn into things. gus makes jokes, and sometimes he's an unwilling participant in shawns ideas, but most of the time he is actively participating in them and aiding shawn while they scheme. they're both goofy and in on the same joke
