Yeah, pretty much. Texas school system really focuses on being Texan first, American second.

Yeah, we even had a full year dedicated to Texas history in middle school at my school. I don’t know if they do that everywhere else in Texas but I’ve never heard of another state doing it.

I know! It’s crazy cold, right? I love waking up and not being covered in sweat. Nice and toasty warm under the covers.

I actually still had my fan going all night and it was the perfect temperature! xD But then again I'm one of those people who can tolerate cooler temperatures (at least for this part of the country) while other people are like, "Aren't you cold?!" People complain about riding in the car with me a lot because my air conditioner is automatically on lol.

Got shipping supplies for the buttons and such today. Hopefully I can ship them at the campus post office tomorrow. I'm still missing addresses from duligirl and kaelthas-funstrider since you did win one of the individual buttons. No rush or anything, since the post office isn't exactly out of the way, but let me know if you still want the buttons at some point. (I understand things get lost in Tumblr's messaging system, too, so I've tagged you in this post.)

I’m a fan of the stuff you’ve posted on Tumbler, but have you actually written some scripts? Just curious.

Oh I've written fucktonnes, but nothing 'professional' (ie: nothing I've been paid for). Nothing you're likely to have seen - it's all wee indie short films that do the odd film festival, made with similarly young impoverished directors at my filmschool. It's the sort of stuff young screenwriters are expected to do to build up a portfolio of work to impress potential agents with, which I'm hopeful is gonna start paying off soon (just had one really exciting project take off unexpectedly, Actual Grown Up Industry Types showing interest, which is a good sign). I've been paid for bits and pieces of prose work for magazines, but that's as close as I can get to 'professional' writer status (FOR NOW) :P
