Dumbest day of being a mom thus far.

So you know how your supposed to boil bottles and nipples after each use? Okay, so I begin that tedious (yes important) chore in the midst of juggling 10 other things. Well I turn around and the stove is basically on fire and I CAN'T figure out what the f#*k caught on fire and the while house fills with smoke immediately. Baby starts crying, dog starts running around like a dumb fool and the fire alarm begins to blast just to make sure that everyone was definitely freaked out! Which I was because it happened SO fast! Between trying to get her in her stroller, bundled up, dog on leash and turn the alarm off for the 8th time, I damn near passed out. I have terrible lungs after a near fatal case of pneumonia last year, so it doesn't take much to get me winded. What the hell do I do now? Open both doors, windows, fans on and the 3 of us standing outside waiting for it to clear out a bit, which it still hasn't done fully. What a terrible day! I am so worried that my little one breathed in smoke and damaged her lungs or something, and I am not totally sure if we should have even gone back in the house yet. I had like 8 candals going to mask the terrible smell (which by the way was a cork, round thing you put hot pots on, which was stuck to the bottom of her bottle pot and didn't notice). Ugh...so embarrassing, but a very good reminder of how fast shit can catch on fire! Be careful mommies!
