you think i want this? i havent had a cohesive thought about doctor who since 2015 and you think this is the first time i want it brought up? huh??? @dumbledorably
I’ve always prized myself on my ability to turn a phrase. Words are, in my not so humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic, capable of both inflicting injury and remedying it.
Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
@dumbledorably for lent i’ve given up people places and things. i’m not christian I just like to be involved.
@soul-hammer covering yourself in blood is actually a great way to get people to stay six feet away from you at all times!

I have actually had one of these kicking around in my head for years about Clint/Loki I believe it was, and I remember next to nothing about it except the idea has been there for...yeah, literally years. I feel like this is one of those things that’s very “if I had a good idea, sure, but I’m not automatically drawn toward the idea of doing it.”
Basically “not inherently opposed, but not specifically my jam either.”
[send me a fic trope and I’ll tell you if I’d write it/who I’d write it for]

Unexpected!
How I feel about this character - I appreciate the shellshocked war veteran role he has, and the way he’s an example of Tolkien’s really nuanced approach to trauma. Like his conflict in the beginning over his love of the Shire vs his desire to see more of the world. “I will take the Ring, though I do not know the way” is Good Stuff, especially bookended with his line about how “[the Shire] has been saved, but not for me” - doing good without certainty of reward. Personality-wise, he’s not the kind of character that I tend to really gravitate towards, but I like the way he’s drawn on a broader thematic level, if that makes sense.
All the people I ship romantically with this character - I can’t see him as being interested in romance. He’s pretty firmly aro/ace in my mind.
My non-romantic OTP for this character - Sam, obviously! Trauma bonding <333
My unpopular opinion about this character - Not sure I have anything super unpopular. I do think (partly due to the movies) he gets put into a generic young, naïve protagonist role too often, but I feel like most book fans would agree with me on that.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon - I think i like his arc how it is!
