1930 Nightmare Theatre Archive
As anyone who knows me, or knows this blog knows, I have the greatest respect for the work of Ricky Garduno, who blessed us with some of Mucha Lucha!'s funniest episodes by way of his maverick storyboards.
Towards the end of the series, Ricky, Gabe Swarr and other artists started Dumm Comics online, with a different comic strip everyday.
My favorite was Ricky's 1930 Nightmare Theatre, a twisted, parallel universe Flesicher cartoon featuring his original creation, Kimbo. Sometimes funny, sometimes tragic, always surreal. Knowing Ricky, I realized very early on it was always personal and Kimbo was in fact his alter ego.
It's been archived HERE Not all are by Ricky, as he featured guest artists and credited them. It goes from newest to oldest. Part of me is glad his very last comic isn't present in light of his tragic passing.
