'Dummy Jim', directed by Matt Hulse, and based on the story of a deaf and mute cyclist from Aberdeenshire who cycled to the Arctic Circle in 1951, has its UK premiere at this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival! The One Ensemble created a lot of the music for this wonderful film, and you can buy the CD here.

Led by deaf actor Samuel Dore on an increasingly bizarre 6000 mile journey, this eccentric slow-burn travelogue blends documentary, fiction, archive and animation. Killed on the road in '65, the film memorializes a determined maverick whilst offering an insight into the community that shaped him, with village inhabitants emerging as creative participants and performers.
