so imagine if duncney never happened. courtney and duncan never got romances on island. and then action happens without all the love square drama added in, and duncan and beth make it to the merge. then the final six, then five, so on. and during this time, beth realizes duncan is a lot softer than he looks (and is also kinda hot). duncan realizes that beth is surprisingly daredevil-ish and gutsy (and is also unconventionally pretty.) tons of romantic chemistry throughout action leading to the finale, where duncan hugs beth and gives her a kiss on the cheek after she wins the season. all the contestants were expecting it. im literally just writing fanfic in the ask box at this point
