Ambulance - Combover EP (2018) The Dublin IDM duo of Duncan Murphy (aka Sunken Foal) and Trevor O’Reilly returned last year after a 15-year absence. Their 2003 LP The Curse of Vale Do Lobo is criminally overlooked and one of my favorite IDM albums—it blows my mind each time I put it on. Sunken Foal - Fallen Arches (2008) Dublin producer Duncan (aka Dunk) Murphy is an under-appreciated genius in the electronic music world. Prior to releasing solo music as Sunken Foal, he was one half of the duo Ambulance that released one of my favorite IDM albums in 2003—the criminally overlooked The Curse of Vale Do Lobo—an album that blows my mind each time I put it on. Since Fallen Arches, Dunk (as Sunken Foal) has released a series of excellent albums titled Friday Syndrome Volumes 1-3, on his own label Countersunk. After 15 years of silence, Ambulance has re-emerged with an EP called Combover, and I hope it’s a sign of more to come.
