No matter how many times Ismael replies it in her mind, it doesn’t make sense. It just gets her brain to start asking more questions. What the hell is this place, what was that hole, why did I end up at the residency, how come I’m here? Her mind is bombarded with questions after questions and she can feel a headache coming on. It stretches from her temples all the way down to the bridge of her nose. 

“Just doesn’t make sense at alllllllll.” 

“SERIOUSLY, does non one here have answers? SHEESH.”

She’d be lying if she said that she didn’t have a soft spot for the Cotes Ward; quite close to her Mitakihara, yet so far away still. It’d be foolish not to become a little bit more acquantiaced with the place she found herself in, wouldn’t it?

Oriko wondered whether there were more new faces around here (who were the natives of this place?), what’s a young girl to do when she’s brought to an unknown place, and with this empitness she carried within her.

The view is pleasant today, though.

Red couldn’t help watching the massive Apocalypse Bird from the rooftops. It’s large, disgusting mouth reaching out to consume whatever came its way, long, distorted arms dragging it along the ground as it gurgled. The beady eyes ready to fire beams at the slightest provocation.

But that’s not what held her attention. No, it was the small figure compared to it. He seemed young, younger than her at least. But he had skill, she’d give him that. It was almost amusing in its own way, how he tried to fight the neigh-invincible beast. When he came her way the... she’d say the seventh or so time, she raised one of her guns and fired a warning shot at the beast.

Turning her attention to the other, she raised an eyebrow, her bright eye staring him down. “Have you not noticed that’s done jack shit for the past few minutes?”

Gakupo was quickly finding that, like in his own world, he much preferred the night life to that of the day time. Things are more quiet at night, and the overall atmosphere was something that he was more familiar with. It saddened him that the stars here didn’t seem to shine that numerously or brightly. Maybe there was a place he could go unbothered by the pollution of lights. 

Decided to take a break, he eventually found a nearby park. It was almost too quiet here, which bothered Gakupo slightly, but not enough to make him leave. He was too fascinated by the various structures that decorated the park. He wasn’t sure their purpose, but it seemed the most likely answer was just aesthetic. 

He almost missed it, but as he explored, he noticed that a boy was sitting upon the top of one of these structures. It was a little unexpected, but at the same time it caught Gakupo’s attention right away. 

“Ah good evening. You seem rather content up there.”

He recited the lyrics to the song he listened to a lot growing up, in his native language too, as he sat there on the bench looking at the sky.
