Despite any of their flaws I have to appreciate the 2000s dune adaptations for perfectly capturing the feeling of reading the books for the first time, which is that it's really just one punch after another and there is no place for you to have a moment of peace. Somehow for 500 pages it's literally always Something™ like let me breathe
