Do you and Weird have a map for the world of Kurosia?
MOD: Not yet, no! For Kurosia itself, Weird might, I’m not too sure. I doubt it however, both of us have been too busy to even begin that. I have a loose idea of some of the main landmarks/locations, mostly for Dunewyrms and Chroma.
The Capitol: It doesn’t have a name yet and I wouldn’t be surprised if they just called it ‘The Capitol.’ The location is somewhere in a vast desert that separates Chroma/???? territories from Kurosia’s Black Sea and The Veil. It’s big enough that most Chroma can’t fly across it without stopping at least twice, and can take anywhere from a week to a month. (Bear in mind that years according to the world are about 7 of ours, so that’s a lot longer.)
Various ‘points of interest’: Due to Important Plot Shit™ I can’t say what these places are, but besides the Capitol, the Dunewyrms are actually pretty far spread out around the world. For about as long as sentient history has been kept, the Dunewyrms have kept trading hubs and contested territories in these places, and if any have been taken over by the Chroma or Kuros (or the ????) during any previous wars, they’ve since been bought back or traded via peace treaties.
The namesake of the blog and thus again due to Important Plot Shit™, I can’t reveal TOO much about it’s nature/where exactly it is. Here’s a few things I can tell you.
They’re a series of islands (obviously), the number of which even the natives cannot accurately count. According to sentient history, any map makers who’ve tried to do so haven’t been successful at counting, or even being able to name the amount of biomes found on each island.
Currently there’s no record of known inhabitants that live on the island; just that they’re there, and maybe someone lives on them.
Warfang/Chroma Capitol City. It’s the center of most Chroma trade, daily life, and in general just a place that holds the largest population of Chroma. It’s also where the Temple is located, and where the Guardians and Circle of Elders/most of Chroma military resides.
The Deep Valley. Gaea and Kishi’s birthplace and the home of Aethenea’s Earthblessed clan. A day and a half’s flight away from Warfang.
Tall Plains. Home to one of the Chroma’s longest-standing allies, the Fauns, Satyrs and Atlawa as well as a handful of Chroma who serve as their protectors and a first line of defense against attackers. Overlooks The Deep Valley.
Avalar. Home of the Felids and the Werewolves. The Felids are often contracted by the Dunewyrms and Kuros for jobs that smaller species can accomplish, while the Werewolves are more often hired by the Chroma as mercenaries in wars against the Kuros. Both species live in blended communities, with some of the older villages being segregated out of ancient tradition.
Bjartr Tunga - “Bright Land between Two Rivers.” A large fishing, trade and home to a mixed clan of Dunewyrm, Chroma and Kuros dragons. Most of them are mixed breeds, making up about 60%, and the culture itself is a mixture of the three with some Old Norse traditions thrown in. Bjartr Tunga is also one of the few places within the realms where it’s legal for any and all gods to be worshipped openly, and rarely does this cause conflict. It’s unknown why this village succeeds at this, but it often provides shelter for those who have abandoned their people, and it’s suspected the village was founded by a mixture of families from all three of these species of dragons. Bjartr Tunga is located along the southernmost edge of the Great Desert, and is smack dab in the middle of the worlds’ equator.
