Familyspeak
My aunt and uncle moved to Canada, and their daughters moved back to Holland and speak Dutch very well but prefer to write English. My sister settled in the UK. We all have a good understanding of English... which means our family whatsapp is a terrible mixture of the most horrible Dunglish known to man. "Will all the huisjes be op the hei?" Ffs, this could be code.
We get it though.
What if we were in high school
And we did it in de vuilbak ಠ‿↼
I'm sure it's doable with the knocking technique (like clawhammer is supposed to be played) and a splinted wrist. There's still some hope. To say it in #Dunglish: blood crawls where it can't go
Dunglish, literally translating Dutch words into English. 😉
Oh and then there’s the memorable moment a friend’s ex-boyfriend, who was always going on about how amazing his English was, walked up to the register of a Subway in Kenilworth where we’d just had breakfast and spoke the immortal words:
“May I have a bag for my remains, please?”
