A brand I discovered on Instagram called It’s Bel cosmetics! Their multichromes were too beautiful not to try out. Another beauty brand to come out of Puerto Rico (another that I like is @necromancycosmetica ). If you aren’t aware, I myself am Puerto Rican. So it was exciting to find and support brands located on the island. If you haven’t read the news in recent years, they have been dealing with a lot (multiple hurricanes, as well as political incidents to name a couple of things). So these brands especially could use your help and patience. The island is even dealing with the Post Office having issues. Support indie brands! Now that I’ve used the Wahala Palette by Juvia’s Place, I can post a review! As always I adore how pigmented the matte shadows are. This time around, they also have some duo/multichrome shades that are also gorgeous. This is the first time I’ve been disappointed in one of their palettes, and the reason for that is that their glitter shadows do NOT apply well. They must not be meant for eye wear since the one time I applied the blue/green glitter shadow (Yanga) it separated the colors I applied underneath it, which you can see here:

From now on I know just to use it as an accent, not on the lids themselves.

My friend spoiled me for my birthday with some makeup from indie brands! She said I’ve always spoiled her over the years, and she wanted to repay the favor. She also knew I hadn’t worked since March due to being immune comrpomised and can’t risk exposure at work. Anyway, I got her started on the make your own palette trend which she liked bc a lot of palettes had colors she wouldn’t use (she’s into mostly nudes while I’ll try every shadow out lol. But she has been branching out lately which I’m proud of).

Nomad cosmetics (left to right, top row then bottom): Graffiti Art (metallic light pink), Jardin Marjorelle (matte blue), Concrete Jungle (light silver), Carnival (purple metallic), Tropicana (yellow matte), and El Mar (turquoise). No longer sold.

Lethal Cosmetics: Stargaze (dark silver) and Aether (green). 

Makeup Geek: Nostalgic (golden pink duochrome) and Plot Twist (blue/purple duochrome). No longer sold.

Baby Bat Beauty: Dragonfly (the pink duochrome) and Ether (blue duochrome).

Primers- Studio Perfect Photo Loving Primer by Nyx and Primer Potion in Original Formula by Urban Decay.

Eyeshadow- Aziza on the brow bone from the Saharan II Palette by Juvias Place. Next the matte orange (furthest left shadow on the top row) from the Zulu Palette by Juvia’s Place in the crease. Then I applied Asphyxia by Urban Decay on the lids. Next I used Marrakesh on top of the matte orange to make it metallic, from the Saharan II Palette by Juvias Place and lastly, Super Shock Shadow in Ripple (no longer sold) by Colourpop applied by finger and flat synthetic brush to my lids for a more vibrant lilac.

Mascara- Mega Length by Wet N Wild.

Highlighter- Golden Goddess by Makeup Revolution and Killawatt Highlighter in Trophy Wife by Fenty Beauty.

Concealer- Conceal and Define in C3 by Revolution Makeup.

Setting Spray- Oil Control by Skindinavia.

Low Spoon Eyeshadow

So this is going to be a little bit different of a post from my norm. It’ll include pictures for reference between text. Hopefully it’ll be helpful!

Spoonie tip: If you don’t have the spoons to do primers and multiple shadows, the Jelly Much Shadows from colourpop don’t crease when you blend it out, and don’t require a primer like powder shadows do. I posted about the product before (the formula breaks down a powder shadow base, and I wasn’t too sure about it at first, but it won me over once I used the product by itself), and after some experimentation, I realized how great it is for low spoon days! The colors are metallic, and often have glitter mixed in the formula. So if you’re into vibrant stuff this is a great option! They even have more subtle ones like Hallucinogenius (once again their product picture is misleading) or Wavelength.

It comes in the same size jar as Colourpop’s Super Shock Shadows, with a twist on/off lid that helps seal the moisture in. If you can’t use the little tab to lift the 2nd lid that keeps the formula from drying out, you should be able to use your nail between the lid and tub (like so):

Lastly I held the pink lid by the tab and dabbed what was on it with my brush and blended it onto my eyelids.

Here’s a look I did with a mixture of powder shadow above my creases, and the Jelly Much Shadow on my lids:

You can apply by brush to blend out the edge above the crease if you want, but I love applying by finger to really make the pigment pop and spread it out so it doesn’t just sink into creases and dry unevenly. It can take a couple of tries to get the hang of it, but I’ve found it to be well worth it and cuts down the application time in half.

Eyeshadow- Kittenfish from the It’s My Pleasure Palette by Colourpop above the crease, then Pressed Powder in Solstice with the Mostest by Colourpop on my lids since it matches the Super Shock Shadow in Milky Way by Colourpop perfectly. You all know how much I love my matching shadows. Remember I like having a powder shadow under my Super Shock ones so they don’t crease on me and these two were definitely made for one another. 

Mascara- On the Rise by Nyx Cosmetics on top of Voluminous Primer by L’Oréal.

Eyeliner- 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil In Oil Slick by Urban Decay.

Powder- Mineral Face Powder in Translucent by Physician’s Formula.

Highlighter- Butter Highlighter in Iridescence by Physician’s Formula and Spellbound by Colourpop on top.

Concealer- Conceal And Define in C3 by Makeup Revolution.

Lip Color- Hijinx by Sugarpill.

It’s been a while since I’ve used the Physicians Formula facial powder but it was my go to in high school and I wanted to give it another chance now that I’m more into makeup and see how it measures up to the other powders I’ve been using recently.
