Nonbinary, male, and transgender witches are valid. Magick belongs to everyone!

I just wanted to say this because it seems like lately I’ve seen a few comments that witchcraft is simply for cis women and it really bothers me. Although everyone is entitled to their opinions on the nature of magick, it’s extremely damaging to attempt to exclude people from the community. I’ve heard people argue that witchcraft is specific to women because throughout history it was usually women accused of witchcraft. However it’s also important to remember that historically people accused of witchcraft were outcasts who didn’t fit into societal norms therefore in my opinion we should be fostering a history of inclusion. Also, the founder of Wicca, Gerald Gardner was a man and although Wicca is a secular practice, Gardnerian ideas have seemed to influence non secular magickal practices too. Not to mention that there are countless trans, male, and nonbinary witches today who have amazing magickal skill. Not trying to preach and if u don’t agree then that’s fine but this has been something that I’ve been thinking about lately.

hi :) I'm new to wicca and I want to ask something about the God and Goddess. So, do wiccans believe there is one God and one Goddess or do they believe in many of them,like,lets take for example,Greeks. (I know it's not the same,I just needed to explain somehow). So there are many subsets of beliefs that can be held by those identifying as Wiccan. (You can think of it a bit like gender identities if you like, with duotheistic also being bitheistic)You can be monotheistic and believe in only one supreme being.

You can be duotheistic, which is generally a belief in the God and the Goddess

You can be polytheistic as you mentioned was something the Greeks believed in, where there are a multitude of deities, often all serving different purposes

You can be pantheistic and simply believe that the universe is in itself something to be revered.

And of course, you can be atheistic and believe in no deity at all.

Generally speaking, most Wiccans identify as duotheistic, with one God and one Goddess. I can’t tell you there is one way to believe and that that one way is correct, so go with what feels right for you, because that is what’s going to make you the most comfortable with your religion, which is more important than what some person on the internet believes herself!
