[Sailor Mikage!  I kind of rushed this one since work has completely screwed with my concept of time.  Today seriously feels like a Monday to me...

I did some research for this one, too.  More below the cut because I get rambly...]

[Though I doubt that Mikage herself would enlist in the Japan Self-Defense Forces because of how much Rakuei means to her (and I headcanon she’s not much of a traveler), Munkage’s previous experiences with American military personnel have me convinced that they would be perfectly fine letting her borrow a uniform to take a picture.

The ribbons on the uniform are “Navy Good Conduct”, “Navy and Marine Corps Commendation”, and “Outstanding Volunteer Service”.  Since I couldn’t find example uniforms without ribbons, I wanted to avoid arbitrary random colors that could mean something totally different.  The uniform is also a Seaman Apprentice rank.  I’m not sure how many elements of a uniform are interchangeable, but I do know that, at least on an Army uniform, there is a LOT of velcro.  The same would make sense on a Navy uniform, especially as a member ascends ranks, though I’m not sure how many patches, ribbons, and badges a ship or military outpost would have on hand...]
