माता के लिए नैवेद्य भोग

मां कालरात्रि को गुड़ का भोग प्रिय है। ऐसे में पूजा के समय मां कालरात्रि को गुड़, गुड़ की खीर या गुड़ से बनी चीज का भोग लगाना चाहिए। कहते हैं कि ऐसा करने से माँ का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त होता है।

साथ ही मां को रक्तदंतिका भी कहा जाता है और चूंकि अनार के फल और बीज रक्तवर्णी है , अनार मां का प्रिय फल है अतैव आज मां के नैवेद्य हेतु अनार एवम गुड़ से बने भोग समर्पित करते हैं ।

भोग हेतु

Ragi एवम खजूर का हलवा

कालाजामुन

एवम मूंग दाल का हलवा

जलपान हेतु गुड़हल का रस एवम जल

मुखवास हेतु सुगंधित मीठा पान

ब्रहमार्पणं ब्रहमहविर्‌ब्रहमाग्नौ ब्रहमणा हुतम्।

ब्रहमैव तेन गन्तव्यं ब्रहमकर्मसमाधिना ॥

ॐ सह नाववतु।

सह नौ भुनक्तु।

सह वीर्यं करवावहै।

तेजस्विनावधीतमस्तु।

मा विद्विषावहै ॥

ॐ शान्ति: शान्ति: शान्ति:: ॥

अपराधसहस्राणि क्रियन्तेऽहर्निशं मया। दासोऽयमिति मां मत्वा क्षमस्व परमेश्‍वरि॥१॥

आवाहनं न जानामि न जानामि तवार्चनम। पूजां चैव न जानामि क्षम्यतां परमेश्‍वरि॥२॥ (आवाहनं न जानामि न जानामि तवार्चनं। स्तवनं चैव न जानामि क्षम्यतां परमेश्‍वरि॥)

मन्त्रहीनं क्रियाहीनं भक्तिहीनं सुरेश्‍वरि। यत्पूजितं मया देवि परिपूर्णं तदस्तु मे॥३॥

अपराधशतं कृत्वा जगदम्बेति चोच्चरेत्। यां गतिं समवाप्नोति न तां ब्रह्मादयः सुराः॥४॥

सापराधोऽस्मि शरणं प्राप्तस्त्वां जगदम्बिके। इदानीमनुकम्प्योऽहं यथेच्छसि तथा कुरू॥५॥

अज्ञानाद्विस्मृतेर्भ्रान्त्या यन्न्यूनमधिकं कृतम्। तत्सर्वं क्षम्यतां देवि प्रसीद परमेश्‍वरि॥६॥

कामेश्‍वरि जगन्मातः सच्चिदानन्दविग्रहे। गृहाणार्चामिमां प्रीत्या प्रसीद परमेश्‍वरि॥७॥

गुह्यातिगुह्यगोप्त्री त्वं गृहाणास्मत्कृतं जपम्। सिद्धिर्भवतु मे देवि त्वत्प्रसादात्सुरेश्‍वरि॥८॥

प्रसीद भगवत्यम्ब प्रसीद भक्तवत्सले । प्रसादं कुरु मे देवि दुर्गे देवि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥९॥

Day 4 : Kushmanda

Devi Kushmanda is worshipped on the fourth day of the festival of Navaratri and She is believed to improve health and bestow wealth and strength. It is believed that She created the whole universe, which is called Brahmanda (ब्रह्माण्ड) , by just flashing little bit of her smile

Kushmanda is depicted with eight to ten hands holding a trident, discus, sword, hook, mace, bow, arrow and two jars of honey (Elixir) and blood. She rides on a lion.

I love how so many people lunge forward to gather the curling smoke of the lamps lit for Durga, as if they finally find the warmth of Her maternal affection, and feel her healing touch from the trembling flame. I love how some women gather it in the fringes of their Sari - bearers of Mother's love to their homes. I love how so many of us participate in the Sandhi Puja, enraptured by the lotuses and lamps. But mostly, I find myself astonished by how we celebrate a Goddess's arrival in a place where women are oppressed so terribly.
