✨ Honouring the Divine Feminine: Shardiya Navratri Begins ✨
Today, the sacred rhythm of the universe shifts. The veil between the earthly and the divine thins as Maa Durga descends to bless us with her strength, wisdom, and grace.
On this first day of Navratri, we invoke Shailputri, the daughter of the Himalayas, symbol of purity and resilience. She rides her bull with a trident in hand, reminding us that gentleness and power can coexist.
✨
I light a diya not just to illuminate my altar, but to awaken the light within me.
✨
I offer white flowers, the colour of today, to honour new beginnings and inner peace.
✨
I chant her name: Om Devi Shailputryai Namah, letting the vibrations echo through my soul.
Navratri is more than a festival. It’s a journey inward. A celebration of the Shakti that pulses through all creation. Each day, a new goddess. Each night, a new prayer. Each moment, a chance to rise.
To all who celebrate: may your fasts be fulfilling, your prayers be heard, and your spirit be renewed. To Maa Durga: may your presence guide us through darkness and into light.
