Yeah so remember the detective Conan fanfics I was talking about earlier that my 14 year old self wrote, well here’s the plan for one of ‘em:

»Story: All of the above mentioned detectives receive an invitation from kid who invites them to his last coup. All detectives are allowed to take guests with them. When Heiji and Kazuha visit the detective agency they decide to go to the coup all together. When they arrive they get to meet the others. The police obviously is also on site but they can’t get in without an invitation. There are also many fans in front of the house but they also can’t get in. When they go into the house they meet up with Sonoko and the old Suzuki who as always wants to capture kid. Right as they want to talk about their plan Shinichi Kudo suddenly appears, which stumps the real Shinichi and also Heiji. Ran who’s oh so happy about Shinichis appearance doesn’t notice how angry Conan gets. But as they get to the decision of who’ll be roomates the tension spikes.«

»After the list is read out loud Conan and Kogoro argue changing rooms with Shinichi, Heiji and Kazuha argue about who gets to sleep in the bed and who needs to sleep on the floor and Hakuba and Sonoko argue wether kid is a criminal or not. After everyone cools down it’s been decided that Conan and Shinichi change rooms, Heiji and Kazuha are gonna share a bed and Hakuba and Sonoko come to the agreement that yes kid is a criminal but also a gentleman! Now all of them go to their rooms and small scenes of what is happening in them are going to be shown. After the clock strikes midnight Conan and Heiji meet up in the common room and lament about how they can’t sleep. Then they discuss theories why kid sent them all invitations. Hakuba joins them resulting in Heiji and him arguing and them deciding to go to bed again. In the morning everyone gets to see the Diamant and it’s Story is told. Afterwards they’re all going to dinner and “Kid” appears, stealing the Diamant but getting shot in the progress. All of them run to the room and are shocked at the body of the dead “Kaito Kid” but it’s soon explained that this is not the real Kaito kid but somebody else who tried to steal the diamond.«

And that’s basically it… I really don’t remember how I wanted the case to end but I guess the Kaito kid that died is one of the two from the couple and the other one murdered them?! Why tho? I’m a sucker for tragedies so probably bc of a misunderstanding regarding cheating or something like that… would probs also have referenced to the well known myth of the hope diamond being cursed bc I remember thinking about what kind of jewel kid could steal and remembering the myth about it being cursed and also thinking “ok so cursed diamond… so someone has to die…but not kid…so imposter kid! Ok nice let’s write that!!!”
