Elladan was not an Elf who enjoyed waiting. He had but recently returned with his brother from an exceedingly important journey; they had been scouting for any news of trouble that might come to the Ringbearer and his companions on their journey south. What they had gleaned had of course been reported directly to their father upon their return, and now there was naught for it but the departure of the Fellowship.
He did not envy them at all. Journeying in winter was amongst his least favourite activities. He could only hope they were all up to the task, though he had his concerns about the halflings. Once they had left, it would be a matter of waiting and watching and hoping that they did not fail. And that idea frustrated him.
He was so lost in thought that he rounded a corner and all but walked into a Dwarf coming the other way.
Startled, he stepped back at once. "My sincerest apologies, Master Dwarf. I didn't notice you."
