Madremonte of Colombia's Wild Forests 🌳🇨🇴
Witnesses describe her as a towering figure draped in vines, moss, and leaves, blending so completely with the forest that her face is rarely seen. Some say her eyes glow beneath the tangled vegetation, while others claim her voice echoes like thunder through the trees before violent storms arrive.
According to Colombian folklore, Madremonte rules over forests, rivers, rain, and mountains. Hunters who kill for sport, greedy loggers, land thieves, and anyone who harms the natural world are said to become her targets. She is believed to summon torrential rain, overflowing rivers, dense fog, and fierce winds, causing intruders to lose their way until they wander hopelessly through the wilderness.
Many stories also claim she appears near rivers and waterfalls, where the water suddenly turns dark before floods sweep through the land. Some believe these disasters are signs of her anger, warning people to respect the balance of nature. Others say simply hearing her terrifying roar is enough to send even the bravest travelers fleeing back to civilization.

I drew these two yesterday with the prompts from Mythical Creatures. For the first one I got turtle, butterfly, space, armadillo, and human feature. For the second one I got axolotl, panda, angler fish, time traveler, and haunted forest. Enjoy!
