Important notes of Durja’s anatomy (and some Fury species over all)

I trashed the idea of their ‘fingernail beak’ and had it instead be more of a quad-mouth plates sort of thing, with small razor teeth inside. I also like the idea of brightly colored lips that are more noticeable if they open their mouth all the way, maybe as like a warning or showy thing. It might also be a residual beak of sorts. She also has an asymmetrical ‘cleft’ crest, where it looks more like a pair of horns and one side isn’t completely formed. Some Furies have a completely fused crest, looking more like a face plate.

Where she has the big ass flight muscles and breast bone sitting on top, Fury arms kind of sit below that (they can’t lift their arms upward very far) and they have an extra joint in their shoulder where its detached and opens like a door, so technically their armpit is facing outward.

I have a sort of ‘out there’ reason as to why Furies have four arms (sometimes six) but I’d like to elaborate on that in another post more centered around them.

Where Durja had her wings taken, she ceremonially wraps them like a Lead Marrow (flightless Furies) would do, plus she gets self conscious of her stumps that jut out so she figures she might as well make them decorative.

Also her and Sylvaine. A most unlikely pair.

This is just another side rambling thing but I don’t really want Druja and Sylvaine to be a thing anymore. It doesn’t click for me and I don’t think it ever really has.

I don’t see Sylvaine as a ‘dating’ or ‘married’ type of person in the least lol. I mean, her whole shtick honestly is struggling to connect with or care about people on the level of intimacy they want from her, to not see them as tools or machines to adjust, explore and fix (ground breaking for a medical oriented character, I know) so it’s kind of ironic that I forced a romantic position on her, which so often happens in real life, haha.

At this point idk if anyone who’s followed me for a while remembers or knows that Durja and Sylvaine were even a couple, but yeah just kind of getting that out of the way. Small rant.

Sylvaine Asheweaver lives under a stolen name in a commandeered mansion that was built for a scholarly being much larger than her.

Most people of Marrowtide tend to make up a lot of outlandish rumors about her, too afraid to actually go to Tattered Wing island (it may be the griffins as well).

She’s got that kind of uuhhhh Vincent Price-house-on-haunted-hill type vibe goin on.
