Attention, Upper West Siders! This Is Your New Go-To Spot
One of my best friends just moved to the Upper West Side and asked me for restaurant suggestions in her new neighborhood. Having rarely crossed the park while living on the UES, I was somewhat at a loss—until I discovered Cafe Tallulah. Inspired by classic New York establishments like Balthazar and Elaine's, the restaurant brings a touch of glamour to Columbus Avenue. The menu includes French classics like moules frites, beef bourguignon and steak au poivre while cocktails come courtesy of Dushan Zaric, the master mixologist behind Employees Only. Visit the second-floor dining room and enjoy some Parisian gnocchi amid velvet curtains, Oriental rugs and antique furniture. Afterward, head downstairs for drinks like the Matahari, mixed with cognac, house-made chai-infused vermouth, fresh lemon and pomegranate juice. With options like this on the UWS, I just might be visiting my friend more often.
Try it yourself with dinner for two.
