━━ ˟ ⊰ * ˖・ﾟOnaga acknowledged the stranger with a level gaze and empty expression, their silhouetted form limping throughout the silent forest. Pain infiltrated every inch of their body but it was miniscule in comparison to the agony of life in the realm of dreams, where their own nightmares tormented them with no end in sight. Returning to that wretched place would be a fate worse than death...but if they could not discover their heart before the sun set...that is exactly where they would wind up. 

Still dressed in their burial attire, the undead Empress resembled an apparition of folklore. A disembodied corpse wearing the finest silk and most of their remains covered with gems and dried flowers. Perfume surrounded the air around them but it was mingled with old death and something much too foul to describe. Their left hand, the only one that remained, was saturated in the blood of a warrior who had stolen one of their eyes while they slept. In the end he hadn’t put up much of a fight and now his stolen treasure was returned to its proper place. 

❝ Shockingly, the blood is not mine. ❞ They answered plainly, limping on with the intention of passing by them.
