Duskstorm was still, he was frozen in shock at what he did or almost did. ‘Thunderclan attacked us unjustly’ he thought ‘but she was just following orders’ He never forget the death of Moonflower and how it affected Bluemoon. He remembered how he almost killed Sparrow, how killing wouldn’t solve anything. He saw Bluemoon struggleing to stand but Redtail and Rosetail rushed over to help her. The tortie let out a yowl of retreat.
I consider some parts of Redtail’s debt to be canon. Honestly if I were to rewrite it, it would have more family bonds, Redtail crushing on Runningwind and Brindleface. Let’s not forget the guilt he’d deal with over having his mother nearly killed over his mistake.
