Cautious witch made of dust 。☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆
"Charles Halloway: I know who you are. You are the autumn people. Where do you come from? The dust. Where do you go to? The grave.
Mr. Dark: Yes. We are the hungry ones. Your torments call us like dogs in the night. And we do feed, and feed well.
Charles Halloway: To stuff yourselves on other people's nightmares.
Mr. Dark: And butter our plain bread with delicious pain. So, you do understand a little.
Charles Halloway: You are known in this town. My father knew you.
Mr. Dark: Your father? The preacher? That half-man?
Charles Halloway: He lived on goodness.
Mr. Dark: Tasteless fare. Funerals, bad marriages, lost loves, lonely beds. That is our diet. We suck that misery and find it sweet. We search for more always. We can smell young boys ulcerating to be men a thousand miles off. And hear a middle-aged fool like yourself groaning with midnight despairs from halfway around the world."
~Ray Bradbury adapted his own novel of the same name for this 1983 film, starring Jason Robards and Jonathan Pryce
A Classic!
1/2 scale BJD head swap comparison photos!
This is a Dust Witch Autumn Leaves head on a Dollmore Trinity body, small bust, both in normal pink skin. The head’s resin is slightly paler, especially in this cool LED lighting, but omg the hybrid looks amazing. I love it and wish I had a spare Trinity body laying around </3 (Took these photos by request for a curious potential buyer of the head. I wasn’t able to remove the Trinity’s resin neck piece without unstringing her completely but this gives a pretty good idea of what it would look like when properly strung.)
A high-tier dust witch :u
Their rank implies the quality of work, so they do not need proof of a job well done like their lower-tier counterparts!

Dust Witch
Dust to dust you call my name. Summer's gone and turned to ashes in fall's flame. Now our train is pulling in. Dandelions blowin' in the wind...
…Ashes to ashes…
Feels like I've been here before in this empty weed-grown clearing. At death's door. Another time, another place, different name and different face...
…Ashes to ashes…
A coffin made of ice and glass, eyes sewn shut, hands read the future. All is past. But fortune never smiled on me. No one ever came to set me free.
Dust to dust and ashes to ashes.
I run my fingers through the air. A storm is coming, singing of despair— the sweetest sound of all.
Dandelion wine is gone. Lightning! Thunder! That’s our song. Dust to dust And ashes to ashes.
Summer, winter, spring, and fall— once I really thought they'd all remain with me... if I could just live on, but...
All my dreams flew from my hand, hour-glass's falling sand blowing in the wind like dust and ashes…
…to ashes…
Then— From dark wrists black ink is bleeding: “Touch his heart and stop it beating. Turn his blood to dust, his heart to ashes.”
My fingers pluck the strings of life— Old age, sadness, illness, strife— his life before his eyes like lightning flashes.
I strum out an epitaph. Death stalks closer, yet… he laughs! My heart shudders at the noise. Warm summer days and laughing boys—
Never heeding dust, nor fearing ashes.
And then when he smiled at me I heard a lightning melody… Fortune… …came to set me free…
… laughing… …the sweetest wine of all…
I could feel my glass heart shatter. Dandelions fade and scatter Drifting, mixing with my ashes, and falling, turning dust to dust.
