opening update!

so due to some unforeseen circumstances like jcink’s server being down last night, our soft opening for tumblr followers will be tomorrow afternoon! we’re working as fast as we can, but we want the site to be pretty and functional for everyone when we open tomorrow.

There's a legend that within the the Capitol's limits, anyone can buy anything.

This legend is a lie, purposefully crafted by the one-percent.

They whisper in their penthouses, over their drinks when they think no one is listening: for a price, they can be happy. For a price, they can besatisfied. For a price, they can have what everyone dreams of: a victor of their very own.

Old as the Games themselves, the victor prostitution ring is the chance for sponsors to congratulate their victors up close. Devoted fans meet their idols in the dead of night, under the promise of absolute discretion. For a night, or a day, or maybe even an entire week, victors can be purchased. They can be owned. They live to please, and President Snow charges a pretty price for pleasure: the most expensive victors are those whose popularity and reputation proceed them. It's the law of supply and demand at work: cut supply, and demand skyrockets.

Inclusion in the prostitution ring is an honor; President Snow invites all victors himself, and meets with them in his mansion prior to their first appointment. The majority of victors are invited in the first days of their victory tour, and are former career tributes who captured the hearts and imaginations of the Capitol. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule; anyone popular or pretty enough can be asked. And they can refuse, but like everything else in the Capitol, refusal comes at a price.

In the wake of Thirteen's attack on the arena, the ring has lost some of its most lucrative investments. The rescue kidnapping of victors like Finnick Odair, the most popular and expensive one night stand in the Capitol, has left Capitolites' wallets full, but their beds empty. The only solution is one that President Snow plans to introduce quietly, with just enough fanfare in all the right circles: a new roster for a new ring.

okay now that i FINALLY have my apps written out i’m gonna reward myself by rambling about my dorks in more detail.

(also i’m gonna mention briefly all the want ads i’ll be posting for each character so u know, if you see anyone you like already feel free to nudge me for more info! the face suggestions are just that btw, suggestions, and i’m generally pretty flexible what comes to those.)

CHIVE BRITTLE is 22 years old, 67th victor and the son of the district 5 mayor. he’s a ball of snark, does not play well with others and has more issues than deadpool. (there’s survivor guilt and insomnia and near crippling phobia of water, to name the primary ones.) hobbies: pretending to be totally fine (though he’s not) and tearing out kitchen tiles at three in the morning. he was thrown to the arena for the quell and you can imagine how it totally cured him of his phobia and definitely did not make it at all worse (/end sarcasm) and he’s now in 13 being even more off his hinges than usual. fun fact: finnick odair is the closest thing of a best friend he has (they bond over being 14-year-old victors and being fine, and finnick gives him the best birthday presents ever). fun fact 2: he’d never admit the first fun fact (and vigorously disagrees on finnick’s gift giving abilities). his face is christopher mintz-plasse.

want ad wise, there’s gonna be a shitton. first of all there’s his family, his father, mother, and little sister; their face suggestions are mark strong, cate blanchett and saoirse ronan.

second, his childhood bff/crush, whom he’s presumed for dead but who’s actually in 13 which means awkward reunion times; she doesn’t even have an official face suggestion because i could see WAY too many people as her.

third, his mentor, with whom he bickers nonstop though they both (secretly) care for each other a lot (mr. mentor dude in particular would fight anyone who means harm to chive so long as there were no witnesses around), he got reaped as the mentor for the quell and is currently stuck in the capitol (so he’s worrying himself to death there about chive while chive’s worrying himself to death about him in 13 yay); his face suggestion is lee pace.

last, AND THIS ONE’S MY OBVIOUS FAVE, his not-boyfriend, a career victor with whom he has a mess of a relationship with, the not-boyfriend was in the ring and chive didn’t know it and was even more of a dick than usual to him, and after he found out about it they kind of accidentally slept together whoops. aanyway they’ve kind of not dealt with it because chive is so uncomfortable with anything sex related and he is not gay but u know. subconscious, unacknowledged feels. fast-forward to the quell, the not-boyfriend ends up in the arena also (and i’m so thrilled to headcanon/plot allll the stuff at the capitol pre-games and in the arena between them btw) and then they both are rescued by 13 and. chive’s just. trying to avoid him hella lot ok (because he is nOT GAY he doesn’t want this dude at all what are you talking about). his face (and you’re going to do some serious convincing to use someone else) should be either channing tatum (srsly all that magic mike stuff for a victor in the ring) or aaron taylor-johnson.

FINCH CORSAC is a 32-year-old victor from district 4. specializes in being pretty and dumb and a literal trainwreck; he was a dick when he was younger (he’s still a dick but he just has some serious secret depth now okay) and your typical career, but after the games he was all “l ol fuq no” when snow wanted him for the ring and tl;dr his family died he became a fuckin mess THE END. was a mentor for the quell so he’s currently at the capitol. no homo bros with finnick (they were actual boyfriends pre-annie and finch was so fuckin whipped oh my fuckign g od), and actually 100% open at the moment in terms of any kind of romantic/sexual plots if anyone wants to hit that; swings literally any direction on the compass, probably gonna take a lot of schooling to get to be monogamous. (makes an excellent whipped boyfriend tho.) his face is ryan kwanten.

JACQUELINE WHYTT is 27 years old, from the capitol and the stylist to no one else but finnick odair. she’s about as dumb as you assume most capitolites are but also genuinely sweet and really does mean well. current location the capitol; current mood forever mad at people who keep misplacing the shirts she makes for finnick (it’s literally not her fault he never wears shirts). proud owner of her priced okapi, thaddeus. completely available in terms of romance; idk about her preferences so any thoughts are welcome. her face is olivia wilde.

LOGAN GRACE is a 32-year-old sniper from 13. sticks out like a sore thumb there because he actually has a personality and ability to smile. a gentleman and a helpless romantic, has had his heart broken so many times upon realizing the girls from 13 are so... you know how 13 people are. fuckin ridiculous tho. super stoked about the victors being in 13 because people with actual personalities; would have thrown a welcome party if 13 knew what confetti was, but still. volunteered to help the refugees out though and loves being around them. past girls are welcome but other than that he’s unavailable; he’s yet to meet her but when he does he’s going to be very much [hearteyes] over a certain stylist and write “MR. ARIADNE CASIMIR” on everything he owns. his face is ryan gosling.

want ad wise, i’m going to be requesting his cousin who’s slightly younger than logan and like a brother to him and who is every bit as ridiculous as he is; his face suggestion would be cam gigandet.

HOLT ODAIR is the baby of the odair clan, he’s 22, resides in district 4 and earns his living by cheating at cards. he’s got a permanent limp and the reason why finnick ended up in the games is holt got reaped at 12 and finnick volunteered for him. he and annie cresta are my brotp, he keeps her company and makes her laugh and lets her use his head if she feels like making flower crowns. he’s generally a very easygoing guy, just be prepared for the chance of a dumb nickname and never ever trust him at cards. his face is boyd holbrook (and i’m forever patting myself, hannah and nat on the back because if you tell me he and garrett and charlie don’t make like THE perfect casting of brothers you need to get out).

want ad wise, i’ll be looking for the lady and the dude he regularly engages in a threesome with (finnick’s much proud thank you for asking), she’s older than holt and runs the group of hustlers he’s in and their arrangement is very practical, while the dude is her even-younger-than-holt lover (and makes holt go “oh wait i actually feel something when i kiss him); their face suggestions are shei phan and taron egerton.

BOGART ASHER is 25 years old and from district 12 and he only knows that because he was told so; he’s been hijacked the past two years and had all his memories erased. has a boyfriend who is still very much in love with him and he doesn’t remember even him. (i cry about his boyfriend a lot ok.) ended up in 13 after 12 was bombed. used to draw, used to be a ball of sunshine and full of life; too bad with his memories being taken he sort of became less of a person and he doesn’t really feel that much about anything at the moment. life goals: remembering shit, remembering he can draw, remembering how much he likes kissing his boyfriend and teasing him to death. (he was super cute but also such a little shit with his boyfriend ok.) such sad much cinnamon roll must be protected at all costs. his face is emile hirsch.

want ad wise, i’ll be looking for his sister, and since bo doesn’t remember shit EVERYTHING about her + the asher family are up to whoever takes her to decide (you can even create more siblings for them; hell you can kill them/the parents in the bombing or even earlier than that I DON’T MIND), it doesn’t even matter whether she’s his younger or older sister; her face suggestion is gemma arterton.

ok i have four characters off the bat. annie, katniss, and then my originals, beckett odair and gabriel enlow.

you know annie but you don’t understand how much i love her ok? she’s probs my favorite character that i’ve ever played and i’ve been roleplay for a decade. :/ anyway! she was reaped as a mentor, so she’s stuck in the capitol at the moment, after watching almost all of her loved ones die in the arena. it’s super tragic and i can’t wait for all of it.

there’s also katniss, who made it through the games and to thirteen. which she hates. a lot. fortunately, her family and best friend are there. unfortunately, it’s because district twelve was bombed. she is miserable and angry, and she also thinks peeta is dead, so she’s lost her shit a bit. fight her.

next is beck, who is also one of my favorite characters ever. beck is finnick odair’s twin brother, and he hates this fact sO much. he’s a grouch in the first place, but with the all the shit his family has been put through bc of finnick winning, he’s kind of a monster. he’s separated from his wife atm, but he does have a young son with her. oh, also! he’s a complete alcoholic. his face is charlie hunnam, btw.

last is gabe, my sebstan rebel from twelve. he grew up in poverty, with a shit family, but turned out to be a good guy. he’s the kind of guy who’s just quiet, isn’t down with showing his feelings everywhere. he’s solitary. enjoys peace and quiet. he also enjoys it when his lover is not a test subject for the hijacking experiment, but you know, can’t have it all. rebels managed to break his bf out of the capitol and back to the outskirts of district twelve, and when it was bombed, they got brought to thirteen with the survivors.

I'm looking for a victor who is around 28-32? What victor spots are open?

so figuring out which games your victor could’ve won based on their current age is a little bit difficult sometimes, because math sucks. the easiest way i know is to figure out around what age you want them to have won. finnick won the 65th games at fourteen, and he’s the youngest victor in the games’ history. almost all other victors won between 15 and 18. their district can also impact the age at which they won, because it’s rarer for career districts (one, two, and four) to field younger tributes when they have older ones (seventeen and eighteen year olds) who can volunteer and have a better chance at winning. 

i don’t know what you’re planning for districts or anything, but given the more realistic age range of 16-18 when they won their games, the earliest they could’ve won (if they’re 32 now) is around the 58th, and the latest they could’ve won is around the 61st.
