Showerthoughts: what if the multiverse as a whole was set up like Ragnarok where it required a death/rebirth cycle to continue so the story can start again and not become stale, making error/the position of destroyer actually necessary. And maybe ink trying to keep everything going becomes an antagonist by the end.
Like ink's got the creators in his ear saying nooo don't let it all get destroyed, but errors got some other higher power in his, being like ayyy take it out or everything will wither and suffer. So ppl gotta choose what side they're on, can't imagine any but the bleakest of skeletons siding with the 'kill us all' take, but you never know??
Anyway, error is like Cassandra in this situation (throwing some greek mythology in there too, why not) and it would take things getting pretty fetid to get everyone else onside with him. But even if they did, the lone one at the end facing off against him still would have to be ink, bros never gonna change his mind on that one. Unless he finally gets convinced everything being destroyed *is* the script.
And once the multiverse is destroyed and reborn, who then remembers the whole thing? Error would be the most likely one given he instigates the destruction in the first place. Would be very sans like to only have one person remember the reset and have to suffer knowing it'll happen again and again. (That's probably why he just sits on his arse being petty and watching TV and gaslighting fell for kicks until it's time to finally get up and wreck everything again).
