Fake (chapter 4 execution)
Suki was immersed in the book when things started to pick up. There was basically no problems, right? They just had to decide between Bendy or Peacock. Only one of them with the strength to drag the body could have done it, case was closed. What luck that the culprit was going to be someone Clive and her hated. Maybe they did make a good team. She had given him all her hard earned clues so they had the upper hand. Bendy and Peacock were just making baseless defenses like idiots.
Then Clive started acting strange. With the glowing and fire. She texted him on her phone if this was part of the plan but... well he wasn’t in any condition to be responding. Was that a confession? Her heart sunk like an iron. No they were supposed to be allies. How could he be doing this too her? Shock gave way quickly to more curious type of surprise.
Right the skull-heart. The thing that Peacock hated. That was all she knew about it really and it was cool that Clive had something that made Peacock mad. She didn’t know it granted wishes! She wanted that! Before she could tell Clive what she wanted to wish for, he was gone. Wishing to escape the island?
It made he laugh and drop the book.
As someone who had spent her whole life wanting just one wish, she thought about these things a lot. How she would word it to a genie. They didn’t exist, wishes weren't real. But she would have died without a dream.
Guess his riddles really did suck. You didn’t word your wish like that.
She didn’t need to watch it on the screen to see what would happen. She had to leave now. Run. Bendy and Peacock would be after her, they would try to kill her. Gather as much food as she could and never come out of her room again. Never talk to anyone again. Let all the people murder themselves out there. Allies and fake friends would just disappoint and betray her. On her panicked flight back, there was a text on her phone.
[ ...Even if you hate me, even if it's just to yell at me, my door's always open. I'll listen as much as you want. ]
Suki’s good hand twitched to respond. Totoko was right there. Probably just as fake a Clive was. She just had to reach out and latch onto them it would be so easy to pretend to be Totoko’s friend again.
Her arm clenched up, phone clattering to the ground. Clive hadn’t been himself when he killed. Her personality had been switched with...
Her heart felt like it was pounding out of her chest. God she was going to die here and now. What was she doing trying to play this game without someone who was a psychopath. Well, she wasn’t going to live either, not if she kept up with this.
The door slammed on her room, never to open again.
