So this happened about a week ago.

mom: How's the homework coming?

me: Alright- It's just really boring.

mom: Well after this you're done. It's not like you're majoring in Sociology.

me: I am majoring in Sociology...

mom: Oh- never mind then.

I should tell you that I long to be better than everyone else at what I do, and what I do, is capture animals.  To me, that is my trial, and I was born to train them to fight.  I'm going to travel across world, and I will search for them high and low, to not only find each one of these animals, but understand their true potential, and what they're really capable of.  You and I have to catch all of them. I know that I am destined to do this, but I ask this of you because you're my closest friend, and I wouldn't dream of doing this without you.  But unfortunately, we live in a world we're going to have to protect from the enemy forces.  But as long as your heart is pure, and we're courageous, I know that will lead us through all of the trials to come.  As we instruct one another with what we may learn, I swear that we will capture all of them.  Every challenge that we encounter along out journey we must face with courage.  And I'm going to fight every day, for only then will I be able to claim what I know to be rightfully mine.  So friend, please come with me.  It has to be now, for the timing couldn't be better.  Not to mention that withboth you and me, there really couldn't be a better team.  Brother, side by side, we'll win the battle!  For that alone, has truly always been what we've dreamed of!

7 Deadly Sins

I've always found the concept of the seven deadly sins interesting.  It never really hit me until a few years ago when watching the Firefly movie Serenity.

"Do you know what your sin is, Mal?" "Hell. I'm a fan of all seven.  But right now... I'm going to have to go with wrath."

Not only are the seven deadly sins the sins that are supposed to be simply inexcusable, but we're all guilty of them.  They seem almost unavoidable.

I'm sure some make the case that that proves that we're without sin, and incapable of leading a sin-free life, but some of the sins themselves are antonyms.  I mean, you can't even try to avoid them.

Don't envy what other's have, but don't be prideful or vain of what you have.  Don't lust after someone, or be angry towards them, but don't be apathetic about the matter, or slothful.

Gluttony and greed don't contradict anything, but seven out of nine is still a lot.

If anyone knows of any places that are available for rent please let me know.  My girlfriend is struggling majorly with her living conditions right now and we need to find cheap (legitimate) places for rent soon.

Inversely, if you are looking to move out, or are yourself struggling with rent yourself, please let me know.

(Also, unfortunately they have to be both cat and dog friendly, without a one or two pet cap.)

Toilet Paper

I wonder how the artist who designs the patterns for toilet paper feels.

Knowing that people buy his art with the intent to smear shit on it and immediately throw it away.

Do you think it discourages him from making his continuous pointillistic floral designs?

Or does a man who makes his money designing patterns for toilet paper not care how people treat his art?
