1: sexuality headcanon: straight is stuck in my throat so i’d say mcclanesexual, that’s pretty applicable. i mean frank has done something around zero self-discovery when it comes to sexual behavior that would include other humans and not his own hand so imho he’s an example of a person that believes in the default heterosexuality (which is bullshit) and has never been determined to find out what he likes and dislikes in bed, for many reasons that i could write a novel about.2: otp: freba, just smear freba all over me and leave me alone to die.3: brotp: idek????? eileen was kinda cool in the book so i’d say eileen and frank could be a brotp if there was more development of this connection that wasn’t too necessary for the plot so harris didn’t really go for it.4: notp: frannibal5: first headcanon that pops into my head: freba hc more than francis hc but it was supposed to be the first one so here it is! reba’s independence is both impressive and mildly annoying for francis because when he’s not influenced by the dragon, he wants to be her hero which is not the easiest thing to do when she’s so determined to make sure people know that she can handle shit herself, to the point of being kinda independence-obsessed. he understands that but also feels like he’s not an important part of her life which he’d love to be. she’s not mindless tho and quickly learns a lot about people she meets and spends time with so she knows that being her own hero is making francis feel needed and generally better about himself so she usually asks him for little favors but doesn’t lie about not being able to do it, just lets francis know that she wants him and no-one else to do it for her. also, she calls and texts him a lot and he chuckles at bullshit siri’s sending him sometimes.6: favorite line from this character: okay this one is silly but i can’t really appreciate all those meaningful lines about the dragon bullshit so none of those could go here but when reba and frank were at the zoo, she asked how would she know if the tiger is sound asleep and his answer was “tickle him”, i melted onto the floor and never came back to solid form again.7: one way in which I relate to this character: i said this before in one of the posts that i can’t really relate to francis because his personality is far away from my own and that even though i understand him due to some writing and character creation skills that i have, i would never react the same way he does. but one thing that matches is that he’s so obsessed about one single detail that over the years ruined his self-image completely and when i was younger, i used to get paranoid about little details that were growing and growing and growing to the size of a disaster. it wasn’t about any physical disfugurations but i had phases of being sure that my hair is falling out super quickly when it really wasn’t or that some of my teeth feel loose when they really weren’t moving and shit like this.8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: oh jeez, the amount of second-hand embarrassment when it comes to frank is tragic. i’m getting second-hand embarrassed REALLY easily so every time frank is in his awkward penguin mode, i’m cringing and appreciating rich’s acting at the same time. the worst part for me to stand was i think the pie moment, oh god, it was terrible. inky fingers and dragon eating were embarrassing too but not as much as the pie.9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? problematic cinnamon roll. the dragon is problematic, right? bc frank himself is an alpha cinnamon roll, a cinnamon roll to rule them all.
