@dvrelict, surprise bitch !
He’s been lurking in the hallway for what feels like hours. Head throbbing, arm sore but popped into place. Chen drags his feet, staring at the door as if it were about to burst into flames. He knows Changsun is in there, he can feel it. But the last time he had shown up here, things had ended on undetermined grounds. As in he was still having trouble getting that pathetic demon out of his mind.
He doesn’t know why he came here. Doesn’t know why he’s been just standing, too scared to knock. Injured and sore, he could have gone anywhere - anywhere but the place he would probably be mocked for his injuries. Wrath was always warning him of hunters, and yet the feline never listened. Never would either.
After a long wait, he finally drudges up the courage to knock on the blasted door. Chen doesn’t wait for a response, never does, just pushes the door open with the last bit of energy he has. “Honey? I’m home.”
