Fat-tailed dwarf lemur (Cheirogaleus medius)
This nocturnal lemur is found in the dry forests of western Madagascar, where winter brings drought. To avoid the dry season, it has become the only tropical mammal known to hibernate. Since Madagascar is generally warm, hibernating dwarf lemurs can stop controlling their body temperature to conserve energy without suffering consequences. They are named for their tail in which they store fat, which provides energy during hibernation.

Here is a fun video of a dwarf lemur (although some people say it's a lesser bushbaby) discovering a strawberry.

There’s a New Member of the Lemur Family
Grove’s Dwarf lemur (Cheirogaleus grovesi) was discovered in two of Madagascar’s national parks.
Grove’s Dwarf lemur (Cheirogaleus grovesi) was discovered in two national parks, Ranomafana and Andringitra, both of which are part of the Rainforests of Atsinanana UNESCO World Heritage Site. A team led by scientists at the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium in Omaha, Nebraska described the species in a paper published this week in the journal Primate Conservation.
An analysis of DNA samples taken from a number of animals was used to confirm that Grove’s Dwarf lemur is in fact a new, distinct species.
The new lemur is a nocturnal primate that is smaller than a squirrel. The fur on its back, limbs, and head are a reddish-brown in color, and there are brownish-black rings around its large eyes...

Fat-tailed dwarf lemurs, from the Duke Lemur Center:
The fat-tailed dwarf lemur hibernates in holes of trees along the western coast of Madagascar for up to seven months each year. Like all hibernating animals, this primate uses hibernation as an opportunity to conserve energy during a period when the fruits and leaves it usually feeds on are not readily available. During this time, the animal's metabolic activity decreases to about 2 percent of what it would be if it were active, and its body temperature drops to match the ambient temperature, which can drop to as low as 41 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees Celsius) during certain times of the year, but generally hovers around 59 F (15 C). When the lemur is awake, its body temperature boosts back up to around 98 F (37 C).
