Dwarven Sword from Skyrim
This ancient blade of the Dwemer is 26" long and is layered with 7 pieces of hand-cut birch plywood. Finer details are cut from card stock paper and the entire thing is hand-painted with care. Great as a prop to finish your Dwarven armor set!
So for my friend's birthday, I made him a wooden sword from some wood I had lying around the house. I had a lot of fun doing it, and I realized after I was done that I could probably make a decent amount of money making custom swords as props or as decorative pieces or even just novelty items. I know I don't have a whole lot of followers, but I just wanted to ask you guys if you would be willing to buy handmade wooden replicas of your favorite swords from movies, TV shows, and video games. I've already started looking into Final Fantasy and Lord of the Rings for inspiration, but honestly, I'm just trying to figure out if this sort of thing would sell. Oh, I also make wands too.
